My passion for human-centered design began several years ago during an internship with CHOICE Humanitarian, an international NGO working to end extreme poverty. I spent 4 months in a remote area of Kenya where communities faced serious issues such as drought, lack of education and insufficient healthcare. I observed the local CHOICE Kenya team as they walked the community through the human-centered design process and supported them as they began to design solutions to some of their toughest challenges. I have been an advocate for design thinking ever since.
As a graduate student in CU Boulder’s MA for Strategic Communication Design, I am learning new tools to tackle complex challenges across various industries and contexts. I use a variety of tools for wireframes and prototyping including Sketch, Framer, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I've also picked up some HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I built this site using Bootstrap.
